for all

for为了,对于;all所有

但组合在一起,并非是“对于所有”

这两个词组合在一起GRE中出现,作为一个phrase,理解为“尽管,虽然”,在句子中是让步的逻辑标志。

by virtue of

by凭借;virtue美德优点;of…的

但组合在一起,并非是“通过…的美德”

而是作为一个phrase意为“因为,由于”,在句子中是表原因/理由的逻辑标志。

at odds with

虽然odd,odds,at odds with看似相关,但是:

odd作为名词,在数学中是“奇数”的意思

odd作为形容词,是“奇怪的”意思

odds作为名词是“概率,可能性”的意思

at odds with作为短语出现,意思是“与…不一致”,在句子是建立对立关系的逻辑标志。

take issue with

bear out
